East RimSpur road near East entrance8 mi one way to Observation PointStrenuousGreat views of Angel's Landing, Checkerboard Mesa and several canyons. Must decide if you will continue down to Weeping Rock, another 4.5 miles, continue to the East Mesa Trail, or return where you started.
Emerald PoolsAcross the street from Zion Lodge5 mi roundtrip for Upper PoolModerateHike to Lower, Middle and Upper Pools. Nothing special during the hike, though the Upper Pool is pretty cool as it sits in a rock amphitheatre.
Hidden CanyonWeeping Rock2 mi roundtripModerateShort but interesting hike. Pretty cool when you turn the corner and enter the canyon, secluded, nice contrast from the big views other hikes offer.
Observation PointWeeping Rock8 mi roundtripStrenuousLots of steep switchbacks, but the views of Zion Canyon are more than worth it.
The NarrowsGateway to the Narrows16 mi one wayStrenuousSignature hike in the park, and one of the best you will ever do anywhere. Sheer walls 2000 feet high, magnificent scenery around every turn. Varying water depths from ankle high to need-to-swim add to the adventure.
